We are developing an automated sorting line, which can be controlled by authorized persons through the web from any location. These persons should be able to control and reprogram the whole facility from home.

The basic intention of our project, is to keep the energy consumption as low as possible, while being absolutely flexible in the administration process through the web.

Every controllable part is connected together with the PROFINET IO standard. As we have to implement two different PLC units in accommodation to regional industrial circumstances, PROFINET IO allows us to switch these main units while using the same IO device.
